Google will reportedly hold a Chrome OS event on Thursday to show off its new operating system.
TechCrunch has been notified that the event will take place at Google's headquarters in Mountain View, CA. The company will provide some technical background information, show off some demos, and give a "complete overview" of the new OS.
Sundar Pichai, Google’s VP of Product Management and Matthew Papakipos, Google Engineering Director for Google Chrome OS will be speaking at the event after which there will be a Q&A session.
TechCrunch believes Google may release at least part of Chrome OS this week while a complete launch will take place next year.
