Twista - Amercian Gangsta

Twista is quietly one of my favorite artists. He has truly stood the test of time, and in this game that is rare. More so than any other artist Twista is Chicago.

To some this may seem ignorant. However, to fully understand Self Scientific and the meaning behind our project Gods & Gangsters, you must acknowledge the positive and negative effects "gangs" have had on the black / latino communities in America. We embrace the components of the so-called gangster lifestyle that are necessary for survival in this country. We understand that gangs are a product of impoverished peoples need to protect themselves, despite what they may stand for today. In the black community "gangs" started in the Midwest Chicago/Detroit before migrating to the West and spreading throughout the country, so when it comes to black "gangs" that is ground zero. Brothers like Jeff Fort (Black P. Stones), Larry Hoover (Gangster Disciples) were responsible for organizing thousands of young minds the results were good and bad but the impact cannot be denied. Salute.
