When I figured out how to jailbreak my iphone unlock 3GS & then everyone can. I did research and it seemed a few others were able to do it, so I decided to open my 3GS and give it a go! [[The following directions jailbreak the phone using purplera1n]] 1 Get on a Windows PC (XP seems to have less problems than Vista 2.) Make sure updates, itunes. Do the automatic updates. 3. Go to 4 www.purplera1n.com. Download and run purplera1n (should say "waiting for phone") 5. Connect iphone to 3GSComputer. 6. Be puplera1n takes patience - a few minutes to say (need to "recovery entry, and then done, wait for reboot") 7. Phone restarted - see picture purplera1n 8th Make sure Wi-Fi is connected 9th Run install freeze application Cydia 10th Download Cydia 11th Reboot [[The following directions unlock the phone with ultrasn0w]] 12 Disabling 3G network (Settings, General), network, so that T-Mobile can seamlessly 13th Go to Cydia Manage, Sources, Edit and enter repo666.ultrasn0w.com(the o is a zero in sn0w) 14. Go to Cydia: Changes and install ultrasn0w 15th Reboot 16th Use paper clip to remove your SIM card, replace it with your own 17th Voila!
