Here's my notes from last night's games:
Carlos Delfino: 9 points, 11 rebounds, 48 minutes and a poor shooting night including 1-8 from beyond the arc. Those shots are gonna drop, and with the Bucks giving him these minutes, Delfino is a nice add to your lineup. I've got the room to add him, sending Delonte 'Broken Finger' West back to the WW.
Tayshaun Prince: Played 24 minutes in his first game back from what seemed like a never ending injury stint. Tay put up a line of 7 points, 6 boards and 3 dimes shooting about 30%. As he gets more comfortable on the floor, he'll also be a good add. Tay can be expected to offer a 15pts, 5-6 boards, 3 dimes with chip ins elsewhere.
Lou Williams: Was sent to the bench last night, and got the 6th man role. He still saw 29 minutes of action and not playing the floor with AI could prove to be beneficial for him. This is a situation to keep an eye on.
Kevin Martin: 40 minutes, 5 points on 1-7 shooting. Think that wrist is bothering him? Don't sell low on Kev here, he'll pick it back up. The 5 boards and 5 dimes helped soften the blow. The Mavs are still knocking on the door...
Andre Miller: 28 points, 8 boards and 8 dimes. Miller has been awesome in 2010. Much of this can be attributed to injuries to Blake and now Roy. Keep an ear open on the Brandon Roy situation, then time a nice sell high.
Kevin Garnett: BIG KG IS BACK! Played 30 minutes last night and his line (13 points, 4 boards, 3 dimes) doesn't give justice to how good he looked. I really think the rest did KG well. If you were lucky enough to score a buy low on him, good for you. I tried my heart out but his owner wouldn't budge. Make one last attempt here prior to the next game, it's worth a shot.
Ray Felton: Went down with an ankle injury. Tough loss here as Felt has been solid in 2010. Still he's a tough guy and hopefully won't be shelved long. The obvious add here is D.J. Augustin but I wouldn't expect much, Aug has been shaky all season.
Tony Parker: Tony's starting to really heat up and dropped 22 and 10 dimes last night. Problem with guys like Parker and Miller is that they don't offer you any three's from a position that's supposed to offer three's. The dimes are great though, and the less they rely on Duncan, the more they rely on Parker.
Devin Harris: Ugh, took a hard fall just before halftime and *hurt* his wrist bracing for the fall. X-Rays came back negative, but he said he's not coming back until it doesn't hurt anymore. Awwww poor little Devin, do you have a boo boo? One word describes this guy, wimp. I'm sure the teams record has something to do with his attitude, but Brook seems to be taking it well. If Devin isn't moved by the trade deadline, I fear we might deal with this garbage all season long. Ugh.
Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry: Ellis twisted his ankle and left after about 20 minutes of play. The immediate winner was Stephen Curry who dropped 32 points and 7 dimes, but it took 48 minutes to do that. That's .67 points a minute, or 20 points in 30 minutes, which is what he'll play when Ellis is back. Ellis will miss the nest game at least. Monitor this situation and use it as an opportunity to deal Curry at a nice high here.
Frye and Richardson vs. Barbosa and Lopez: Frye saw 25 minutes of action off the bench, and outplayed Robin Lopez who saw 22 minutes of action. It's still too early to call this one as we don't know for sure if they're done resting Frye, but we do know Robin Lopez wasn't the answer. J-Rich had another poor shooting night dropping 12 points on 6-17 shooting and 0-5 from beyond the arc. Still he saw 29 minutes to Barbosa's 18. The Suns lost and I can't imagine they'll stick with this new look of Frye and J-Rich off the bench for much longer.
And finally.....WHO IS CARTIER MARTIN? Shows how hurt the Warriors are! Undrafted 6'7" SF Cartier Martin saw 35 minutes of action and put up a pretty respectable line of 16 points and 8 rebounds. I don't know who this guy is, I've never heard of him before, but I'm going to keep an eye on this situation. There's minutes to spare at the 3 for the Warriors right now, so it'll be interesting to watch this develop.
One housekeeping note here. I added a new GOOGLE SEARCH BOX on the site. You can use this to search this website for posts and comments about the players you're interested in, or any other specific topics you're looking for. Hope you find it useful.
