Make no mistake, if you're slow to act on this advice you miss the window of opportunity. LaMarcus Aldridge was an awesome Buy Low, but that window has just about closed up. Too late to get him on the cheap. Same can be said of Derrick Rose, last nights performance will have every owner salivating over him. Don't worry though, not all is lost. There's still some time to grab one of these four guys:
1> Devin Harris
2> Amar'e Stoudemire
3> Eric Gordon
4> Stephen Jackson
Beware though, as each of these players had a monster game of late and should they put 2 or 3 in a row together, the opportunity will be lost. However there's still some time on this next cat. After missing about two weeks, he's shown some hints of rust since coming back and you might just catch his owner offguard. I'm speaking about none other than, PAU GASOL. Like Amar'e, this is a huge opportunity to snag a top 20 player on the cheap. Before I go on, let's take a look at the numbers:
PAU GASOL
CAT 2009 Career
PTS 17.8 18.8
REB 9.2 8.7
AST 3.8 3.2
3's 0 0
STL 0.3 0.5
BLK 1.4 1.7
TO 1.3 2.5
FG% 57 52
FT% 90 74
All I can say is WOW, look at those numbers! Sure it's only been 9 games, but what a great 9 games it's been! He is off to a solid start and right in line with career numbers. But not everyone looks at the averages. Instead, Pau's manager knows three things: 1>Pau has been injured a lot in the past, and just came back from injury, and that makes an owner nervous 2> Pau has had a couple sub-par performances of late, by his standards, especially his most recent 3> He'd LOVE to trade Pau off for a Carmelo or Marcus Camby type player.
This kid is nervous, he doesn't want to be holding Pau if he gets injured again. He's going to act a little irrational, especially since Pau isn't exactly tearing it up right now. Swoop in for the kill. I love you dealing a Marcus Camby or Paul Pierce or even Melo for Pau. Now get out there and DOMINATE!
............but WAIT! What's that I mentioned about Paul Pierce?! Stay tuned for a special edition, time sensitive, SELL SELL SELL edition on Paul 'The Truth' Pierce!

Would Dahntay Jones be a Sell High since Danny Granger is out?
ReplyDeleteWhat's the reason S-Jax buy low
ReplyDeleteTake a look at my December 5th post (it's an older post) which includes a write up on Jackson. Did you see his last game? And I idont mean his statline, I mean did you see him? He looks very comfortable in Charlotte.
ReplyDeletethanks for responding, I'll look at your

Is Bedrins a buy low canididate?
what are your feelings on Michael Redd? I just picked him up as FA and dropped Ridnour. I can't find any news on him other than he might be back in next two weeks. He'd be my 2nd or 3rd option behind Wade, Roy.
ReplyDeleteAnony1, I stay away from injuries, especially if we don't know the recurring nature. If you get him as a FA or for dirt dirt cheap, ok, but injuries are a headache.
ReplyDeleteAnony2, I don't want to say Redds career is done, but it doesn't look good. Still I love that you got him as an FA pickup, nice move. Let's wait for a string of three or four good games and I'll issue out a quick Sell High before he gets injured again.
is offering Jason Thompson for Stephen Jackson a buy low?
ReplyDeleteAnony, if dealing boards for points is what the sauce says you need to do, then this is a GREAT move!
