Melo, AI, Odens replacement, and your thoughts on Monta Ellis

It's already starting to happen, Melo is slowing down. He's human, people, and no matter how good of a shooter he is, he's going to slow down here. I hope you took advantage of the Sell High on him, and grabbed one of those players that has yet to hit the scoring burst.

Monday night welcomed AI back to the floor, and while he looked like a 16 year old schoolgirl in the first quarter, it didn't take long for talent and instinct to take over. Most notably from the evening is the MINUTES he played. Given time AI can put up HUGE numbers. It's likely that the manager who owns him didn't watch the game (because he isn't dedicated like you and me), won't be overwhelmed by the stat line, and might just take something like Quentin Richardson in a trade for him. If you can, get AI, he is a top 40 player.

Caron Butler's line last night? 20 points and 10 boards. The window is closing....

Joel Pryzbilla's line in the first half tonight? 4 points 7 rebounds, sounds like Oden to me!

Time to get the comment section going. What's your thoughts on MONTA ELLIS? The jury is still out for me on whether he is really this good or should we be SELLING HIGH?

  1. ayo, thanks for your advice

I just got offered devin harris for thompson and brooks. I feel like id be selling low on my thompson and brooks.

who else could i offer to make it 2for 2 or maybe give an additional player and make it 3 for 2.

His other notables are: Marc Gasol, Noah, Deng, Gay, Ty Lawson...I can make it more descriptive if you want (give the players on both teams). But please help me out.

  3. Ellis can go either way...

48 minutes a night every time he plays is gonna catch up to him and he'll be an injury risk. he'll want a trade to a team that has playoff prospects in a few months, and then his value would have a huge drop.

on the other hand, he can stay a warrior, and continue putting up big stats every night. if TO is a cat, i'd sell still though.

    I say sell high.

  4. Anony1, I like you getting Harris for JT an Brooks, but if you can get him to toss in Noah too you'd be a hero!

Anony2, you need a true PG, Jennings won't cut it. Try dealing Camby, a perfect Sell High. I'd love to see you snag Deron Williams for him.

Inderdunfluence, couldn't agree more. The owner of him in my league just dealt Ellis for Marion and Gallinari. While I support him selling here, what he got back was atrocious!! My post today will be a Sell Sell Sell Danilo Gallinari!

  5. Yeah, that trade was terrible.

Any thoughts on Richard Jefferson? Do you think he'll settle down at spurs and put up numbers?

I've been offered him for Perkins. Even with Kendrick's future decline in value, he may still be the leading shot blocker on my team so I don't want to give him up for RJ who doesn't contribute sufficiently in multiple cats.
The guy wants marc gasol also. His team is:

    Stuckey
    Ronnie Brewer
    CDR
    Dunleavy
    RJ
    Thaddeus Young
    Deng
    Ryan Gomes
    Bosh
    Andrew Bynum
    Brand
    Biedrins
    Nash
    Jason Richardson
    Rondo
    Chalmers

See any worthwhile trades for me?

  6. RJ offers you nothing. He's got talent, but so does San Antonios entire starting lineup AND half the bench. Would he take Perk and Gasol for Bosh? Is he that dumb? If not, try Gasol for Brand or Bynum, I'm high on both those guys.

  9. for some reason if i click on your latest thread and comment on it, it says that your blog has been removed (something to that tune)

anyway, i asked help for my team earlier and you suggested getting oden(good thing i havent done it) and rose (from a guy that doesnt update)

so if you could please give me the top five players i could buy low on (through mean reversion formula)

my team from guard to center (h2h 12 teams deep):
    brooks
    jennings
    rondo
    gordon
    butler
    granger
    thompson
    ty thomas
    beasley
    elyasova
    anthony randolph
    frye
    b. lopez
    b. wallace
    bargnani
dampier (i guess im dropping him for the likes of q. richardson or something)

    thanks so much

  10. Yeah Oden caught us all by surprise there. Don't drop Dampier, he's in a contract year and will be a great sell high in a few weeks. Plus it looks like you could use the big man stats. Sorry about Granger too, that's a huge blow to any team. I like adding Aldridge to your team, and I'd say Stephen Jackson too but the buy low window might've closed there. Stay tuned to the blog and I'll drop two more Buy Lows in the next post.

  11. Do you think there is a point to pick up Biedrins, Jameer or Manu from FA, if jes then who. I have a free spot on my roster and i can afford to stash some guys away because of my game limit. Also picked up Salmons today so i hope your predictions come true :D
