Apple Offers 3.33Ghz Quad-Core Processor, 2TB Hard Drives for Mac Pro

Apple is offering the ability to configure the Mac Pro with a 3.33GHz quad core processor and is offering 2TB hard drives for the Mac Pro and Xserve.

To upgrade the Mac Pro to a 3.33GHz quad core processor it will cost $1,200 over the base 2.66GHz quad-core processor, or $800 over the 2.93Ghz one.

The 2TB hard drive option lets you order a Mac Pro system with a maximum capacity of up to 8 TB or an Xserve with a maximum capacity of 6TB. The 2TB hard drive are priced at an outrageous $550 each.

Apple has also begun offering 4 GB RAM modules for the Xserve increasing the max memory of the quad-core Xserve to 24 GB and the 8-core Xserve to 48 GB.
