Apple has announced an update to the Mac Mini which includes a server model that replaces the optical drive with another hard drive.
The new entry-level Mini sells for $599 and features a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo chip, an Nvidia Geforce 9400M graphics card, 2GB of RAM, and a 160-gigabyte hard drive.
A higher end model sells for $799 and features a 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo chip while increasing the RAM to 4GB and the hard drive capacity to 320GB.
Apple has added a new Mac Mini server model to the lineup for $999. The server model increases the storage space to 1TB by dropping the optimal drive and adding an additional 500GB hard drive.
