How to Install Windows XP Service Pack 2

At first you have to Insert Windows XP service pack 2 Bootable CD. Then this box will appear, Here we see some information about installing. If we press Enter= Continue, R=Repair, F3=Exit. Suppose we want to install fresh copy of Windows XP service pack 2 then we must press enter to continue.



After pressing Enter this will come, its a licensing Agreement without any problem press F8 for I agree.




After Pressing F8 Then computer show Hard disk space. If you have 160GB or more then you must choose 15 GB or 20 GB for installing Windows XP , Rest of space for other drive. Click (c) for creat partition......



Select your windows Xp Hard disk space, suppose you choose 2555 MB for installing windows XP, you can choose more if you have available space. Click Enter.....



Selecting your disk space for windows xp completed now click Enter to install.....



Then we have to choose File system. We must select NTFS (New Technology File System) for better Security Rather than FAT (File Allocation Table). Select NTFS then hit Enter.



Then start Formatting first.......



Then copying files...



Computer will restart automatically.......



Here you can see 39 minutes left to install windows xp. If you have 2 Gb ram then it will take less than 30 minutes.....



These box will appear For language setting select your language then click next.



Type your name and organization name then click next.



Type Your product key from CD COVER click next.



Type your computer name & Password but if you dont want any password then click next....



Select your country time zone click next....



Click next....



Click next....



After completed your full installing computer will restart automatically then this welcome box will come click next...



Asking you want to help protected your pc you might select first one or 2nd one its up to you but reffer select 2nd then click next....



Select skip....



Computer asking you weather you want to register with Microsoft or not you may choose yes or no its up to you select and click next....



Choose user name click next...



This will finished to installing windows Xp sp 2 click finish thank you.
